The stoph2med.org website is being developed and maintained by kollektiv gazpacho – a group of activists and students from Rhein-Ruhr area in Germany and the Spanish state. In spring of 2025 we travelled along the planned route of the H2Med/Spanish Hydrogen Backbone pipeline between Xixón, Asturies and Huelva, Andalucía as part of an activist research project in collaboration with the Debt Observatory in Globalisation (ODG) and Ecologistas en Acción.

We discussed, developed, did excursions and listended to the stories of more then 30 activists and collectives, active in the struggle for energy, territorial and climate justice throughout the Spanish state. We developed a collaborative sticker workshop (more on that soon), recorded video interviews, explored the material impact of the energy transition and AI/data centres and simply spent time with many beautiful people in villages and cities on the Iberian Peninsula. Thanks to everyone who helped us in this process, gave us a hot shower or a bed for a night.
